Synopsis


Russia, near future. Ivan Gromov, former military pilot, member of the first cosmonaut crew, participant of the failed soviet expedition to the Moon in 1968-1969, learns from a TV story about the planned visit of the astronaut Alan Johnson, the commander of Apollo 11 Spacecraft, into Zvezdny Gorodok. The festivities dedicated to the 45th anniversary of Americans landing on the Moon are intended to demonstrate the resolution of Washington to strengthen international space cooperation.

During the mourning ceremony at the Space Victim Memorial Gromov armed with a carbine opens fire on guards of the American delegation, takes Johnson as hostage and flees in the embassy’s limo.

Assuming the Islamic trace the Kremlin fears that kidnapping of Johnson considering the armed conflict in the South can result in cancellation of contract between NASA and Rosaviakosmos. The prime-minister takes over the control of the operation. The investigation is entrusted to an experienced professional , FSB Colonel, expert in international terrorism.
