WIN A CHANCE TO DEVELOP YOUR SCREENPLAY ON THE SUNNY SIDE OF LIFE

Upload your screenplay to Scriptbase.eu until 7 April 2010 to participate in the sunniest script competition of the year.
The winner receives a full scholarship to the 2010 MFI Script 2 Film Workshops with travel expenses covered. That’s right – it’s free trips to the beautiful Aegean islands of Nissyros and Samos plus extensive development and training with the world class tutors the MFI Script 2 Film Workshops offer. By the end of the year not only will you have a fully developed final draft of your screenplay but also a nice tan and tons of remarkable memories.

The MFI Script 2 Film Workshops programme is mostly aimed at projects with producer already attached as writer/producer teams can get the most out of the development scheme. However, writers with no producers attached may also enter the competition. If such a writer is selected, we at ScriptBase will reach into our extensive network of producers and do our best to find one for his or her script as soon as possible.

By 5 April readers of Fade In Script Consulting will make a pre-selection to 10 screenplays. The titles of the 10 shortlisted screenplays will be published on the website. MFI Script 2 Film Workshops tutors will then select the winning screenplay whose writer gets the prize. The winner will be notified on 25 April.


Contest guidelines:

• Sorry, but only EU residents can participate in the contest.
• Users who wish to participate with a screenplay they have already uploaded must confirm their intention to do so with an e-mail to info@scriptbase.eu
• Users who newly upload their scripts must confirm their intention to participate in a remark with the upload or with an e-mail to the above address.
• Only fully written feature screenplays can enter the competition, no shorts or documentaries.
• All genres are welcome.
• The winning writer retains all rights to his or her screenplay.
• The prize can not be exchanged to cash.
• If a winner is selected he or she must declare if he or she is able to attend the full course and participate to the best of his or her abilities. Once agreed, failure to fully attend results in obligation to reimburse any and all damages this failure might have caused to MFI Script 2 Film Workshops and/or ScriptBase.
• The timetable for the programme is as follows:
  FIRST SESSION:       June 22 – July 6, 2010   ISLAND OF NISSYROS, GREECE
  
  SECOND SESSION:   September 2010            ON-LINE
  
  THIRD SESSION:      October 10-17, 2010      ISLAND OF SAMOS, GREECE
  
  FOURTH SESSION:   December 2010             ON-LINE
• The decisions of the pre-selection jury and the selection team are final and undisputable. Neither ScriptBase nor MFI Script 2 Film Workshops will enter into any correspondence regarding the decision.
• The contest closes at midnight 1 April, 2010. Screenplays whose users specifically confirmed their intention to participate are in the contest.
• All submissions must adhere to the Scriptbase general terms of use. Please read it and the Frequently Asked Questions of Scriptbase before submitting your screenplay.
