In search for a better life, people in poor countries took and still take considerable risks to flee their homeland. Sometimes it costs huge money, sometimes the price is paid in human lives.

If the air which you breath with another person for ages, becomes close you should open the window and let the fresh air in. The fresh air makes you active. Your activity needs fresh air. So the fresh air becomes close soon again.

Nine main characters share the plot of the film, the backbone of it being a young girl, Mirka, who, in her search for love and understanding of the world around her, unaware, becomes the driving force of some events. Weekend is for her a time of exploration.
